I'll be Coming Around the Mountain

So, myself and two friends (Zach Vesleck and David Paul) embarked on a mission around Mt. Hood before the summer came to an end. Unfortunately, as we met and talked with hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail portions of the hike, they informed us some of the trails about 30 miles in were washed out and unpassable. So, we diverted our hike at Ramona Falls and went up an undisclosed trail for about 6 miles and saw one of the most amazing views in my life.

Oregon is amazingly beautiful, you just have to go out and find it. Gresham I could live without in my life, but when you get outside the area with all the strip malls, Fred Meyer parking lots and the pollution from the real estate agents driving their Hummers, then you see why people live in Oregon. The Mt. Hood National Forest is amazing!!! It definitely caught my heart the moment we began hiking.

We ended up hiking about 32 miles all together over a 3-day period and here is the view I saw. If you look closely, Zach and I are in the bottom right hand corner. That's how close we were to Mt. Hood.
